Poetry Competition

On Wednesday the 5th of July Milton Primary School had a Poetry competition, which was held in the Milton Primary School hall. The children do the poetry competition to learn about language and how to perform expressively in front of an audience. Finalists from Waihola, Tokoiti, St Marys, Milton Primary, competed in the competition, The judge was Vivienne Gelettley. The children competed in their year levels.The finalists were judged on knowing their poem, speaking slowly and putting expression and actions into their poems, eye contact and audience appeal. All the winners received a trophy. The children had a great time and can’t wait till next year’s competition.
