Cyber Safety

On 3 June, John Parsons came to our school to talk to us about being safe on the internet. Children from St Mary’s and Tokoiti also attended. He talked to us about how you should never believe in internet scams and how to avoid being tricked by scammers. He showed us some videos of kids not being careful and sharing some of their personal information online. He told us that if someone on the internet asks your name or for a picture of yourself, just ignore them. He explained that if something looks too good to be true on the internet, it is too good to be true.
